A Principal-led design Studio

Miss Alice Designs approaches interiors as an expression of intentional living, grounded in the belief that true luxury lies in how a space nurtures authenticity. Through a studied balance of technical precision and artistry, we create spaces that feel quietly empowering and invite you to slow down, connect, and feel at home with yourself.

Our studio takes on a limited number of full-service projects each year. This allows for focused attention, thoughtful collaboration, and a level of involvement that supports both the creative and technical demands of complex residential work.

Alice Chiu
Principal & Founder

Miss Alice Designs

Alice believes a home should be a place of calm, a retreat from the outside world, designed to restore and inspire. Her approach to interiors is rooted in thoughtful simplicity, where every element is intentional, balancing refinement with warmth.

Alice’s path to design wasn’t linear. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she was drawn to the arts from an early age, but initially pursued engineering at UC Davis, later working as an operations manager in Silicon Valley. Yet, despite professional success, she craved creativity. While keeping her full-time role, she enrolled in the San Francisco Academy of Art University, earning a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. In 2012, she left the corporate world behind, stepping into interior design full-time.

Her technical background, problem-solving mindset, and intuitive design sensibility proved to be a natural fit. After gaining experience at two high-end design firms, she launched Miss Alice Designs in 2014; bringing her signature blend of refined simplicity and understated luxury to homes across the San Francisco Bay Area.

More than a designer, Alice is a collaborator and trusted guide. She creates spaces that reflect her clients on a deeper level, understanding not just their aesthetic, but how they move through life. With an intuitive ability to recognize what brings people joy and what holds them back, she crafts interiors that feel at ease, yet profoundly personal.

When she’s not designing, you’ll find Alice traveling, immersed in nature, swimming, or giving back through her work with SF SPCA and Habitat for Humanity, helping build homes for those in need.
