There’s truly a lot to be thankful for and appreciative of and I don’t think many people take time on their own, alone, to sit quietly and self reflect on who they are, how they have grown, and what they are thankful for. Meditation is a great tool to do just that. I haven’t always shouted to the universe a great big “Thank You!” during bad days, but I know I definitely have a lot to be thankful for not just this Thanksgiving but everyday – My family, positive long term relationships, good health, the fact that I’m able to do what I love as an interior designer and being able to share my gift to the world, traveling to exotic places all over the world, and giving back to the community with Habitat for Humanity. But more than that, I’m truly thankful that I’ve grown so much over the past year as I continue to learn how to deal with difficult people, let go of toxic relationships, get better at setting my boundaries, and work on building up my confidence as a worthy, beautiful, amazing woman, interior designer, friend, colleague, and much more. I’ve been really blessed in my lifetime and I’m so thankful to the universe for all the good things in my life as well as all the even better things that are yet to come.
So, this Thanksgiving holiday, spend some time by yourself for a little bit outside your family and friends. Light some candles or turn on some music- whatever it takes to put yourself in a soothing and relaxing mood and meditate. Quiet your mind and ask your soul what are you truly thankful for besides your family, friends, pets, or career? You might be surprised by the answers that come up. Share it with your family and friends during Thanksgiving dinner. They will be grateful you did so. It will be a touching, emotional, and special moment that you’ll remember for years to come. I’ve gathered together some inspirational quotes about gratitude and thankfulness that has moved me and given me encouragement and motivation. Here’s a big thank you to everyone for being YOU this Thanksgiving.
