Decorating a Christmas tree is a fun and creative activity to do with family and friends and even with your city college. I was asked by the chancellor’s office to help decorate their first ever Christmas Tree at City College of SF this year which was a major triumph, considering they never had a Christmas tree in the past 20 years! Now that’s a major accomplishment! It was so much joy to decorate a 14′ Douglas Fir tree with lights and ornaments that played Christmas music while flashing colors to lift people’s spirits. I absolutely love the smell of Christmas trees! Decorating a Christmas tree is a great way to unleash your creative genius within you. It’s also an enjoyable and therapeutic activity you can do with family and friends. If you want a theme inspired Christmas tree, you can decorate in a nautical style with seashell, seahorse, or seastar ornaments, in a modern style with a white Christmas tree, white tinsel and white ornaments, or in a floral style with origami paper flower ornaments. If you want a vibrant and colorful Christmas tree this year, go for a monochromatic design in all pink or all blue or create a rainbow tree full of colors. Love candy canes, feathers, or ribbons? Add them to your tree! There are lots of ways to be creative and come up with new and unique ways to decorate your tree that reflects your personality and style. You just have to allow your creativity to flow through with inspired action. If you still need tree decorating ideas, check out these amazing Christmas trees to inspire you.
