Green is such a soothing and relaxing color that reminds me of nature, of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It’s such a great color that Pantone named Greenery, a yellow green, 2017 Color of the year. You can go from a forest green to apple green to a mint green which is one of my favorite shades of green. Not many people realize that green takes up a larger portion of the spectrum of colors visible to the human eye than any other color. That means a tint, shade, or tone of green can have totally different associations than another green, but these associations have one thing in common- green is an emotionally positive color. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being, renewing depleted energy, living in the present moment, and being centered.
